`I tried one of the other podcatchers - a big-name one - before Podbyte, and found that one to be unintuitive, cluttered, and overly glitzy. I appreciate the relative simplicity and busness-like functionality of PodByte. I don't find it to be perfect, but I also don't think I'll bother to try finding something "better".`,Love the simple interface. Reminds me of iPhone Podcasts app. However, I cannot continue using the app because (1) does not have speed control. I usually listen at 1.5X or 2X speed. (2) No timer. I listen to podcasts before sleeping so this function is essential to me. Less important to me: cannot manually mark episode play, export OPML
I love the UI and the lack of ads, but the app needs a few more features for me to use it. Some things I would love to see in the future: - marking episodes as played - unplayed episodes counter on the podcast cover - auto-delete played episode after a certain amount of time - a way to control individual podcast download settings and the ability to auto-download for offline use - displaying podcast feeds in different chronological order Keep up the good work!
Though it requires internet to be on for it 0to start, once started it will play podcasts forever with no internet. Hence best for travel. The five star rating is because of ease of making and managing the queue. Only problem there is that, if listening Is interrupted you have to remember what was playing to find the queue.
Great app, but podcast eps often inexplicably stop playing, and won't restart unless I click on them in the queue and then return to the play screen. This happens two or three times per episode on all podcasts. Still really like it though."
