Stash101 Fantasy Investing works like a sports style fantasy game, you can draft a lineup of stocks and ETFs, then compete against your friends and the public in weekly games. Within the game, you are only tracking the performance of the stocks youve drafted, never investing any money, so the biggest risk youre taking on is the competition!

Why Fantasy Investing?

Fantasy Investing is a way to learn by doing, in a simulated experience, rather than learning the hard way with real money. As you pick investments for your lineup and track their performance, youll be able to learn about different investing topics, such as:

What are stocks, bonds, and ETFs (exchange-traded funds)

How to build a balanced portfolio

Differences in company sizes (market capitalization)

Differences in market sectors

How to play:

***Draft your lineup***

On Friday afternoon, or any time before the market opens the next week, youll draft your team. This means choosing investments for different positions in your lineup. Each position requires an investment that fits into a specific category. Your lineup is made up of various Stock, Bond, and ETF positions. To make your picks, youll be able to access each investments historical performance data, dividend information, and other key metrics. But keep in mind, past performance does not guarantee future results and not all investments pay out dividends!

***Track your weeks performance***

Once youve chosen your lineup, youll be able to track how youre doing against everyone else. If your investments increase in value or distribute profits as dividends, youll get points. If your investments lose value, youll lose points. When the market closes on Friday, the player with the most points wins.

***Claim a prize, and do it again***

If your lineup is in the top 10 at the end of the week, you could earn a cash prize worth up to $1,250. Then, its time to draft and compete all over again. Good luck, and have fun!

What are the cash prizes?

The weekly prize pool grows with the number of players. It starts at $100 and increases $1 with every player (with a maximum prize pool of $5,000).

When the market closes Friday, the top 10 players will win a percentage of the weekly prize pool. Heres how it breaks down.
