`It's stated in the description that this app is perfect for beginners to learn English, and that is true. For me the fact this app teaches you how to pronounce anything and everything was too broad. I'm fluent in English and have a very light accent. I already know I specifically have problems with pronouncing "w" and "v sometimes "m" and "n" differently. Wish this app has a feature where I can select letters I know I have a problem with and only practice those.`,Terrible app. I wanted a pronunciation app for a different purpose, but decided to look at this app for friends. The pronunciations that I heard did not seem to be recorded by a native English speaker. The description has grammar errors usually committed by people whose native language is Hindi. My native language is American English and I also speak Spanish. I would not consider teaching another American how to speak Spanish.
I teach ESL, and I wanted to see if this app would be helpful for my students. The app gave me passing scores for words that I was purposely mispronouncing. The second comment is more personal preference, but I also found the noises for wrong and right answers somewhat irritating.
The are some worlds that even when English speakers pronounce them the system doesn't take it right it very frustrating.
My wife is a native speaker of American English with no regional accent; however the app told her she mispronounced fortnight. Unbelieveable.'
