Beginner Cornish is a simple and direct Cornish language learning app meant as an introduction to beginners and enthusiasts.
Based on the 'a word a day' concept, this app provides up to 12 words a day of your choosing.
All words 'learnt' are tested repeatedly thereafter, on a basis of decreasing regularity, if answered correctly, as you gain familiarity with the said word. Vice versa, if incorrectly answered, the app will adjust to test you more on the word, or 'deactivate' it, while you learn other words meanwhile.
Pace yourself as you go through the almost a thousand common and popular Cornish words available in the app. In just a matter of weeks, you will have an essential knowledge of the Cornish vocabulary !

Useless. No guide as to how to use it. I tapped the menu and there's nothing there but a few icons, the meaning of which I have absolutely no idea. The main screen just shows a word and the translation. A brief user guide or tutorial is needed.
weird is about the kindest expression I can think of. It starts you off with a bizarre collection of words that has little relevance whatsoever to start learning the Cornish language. It has all the hallmarks of a computer generated app which in turn generates a randomly selected list of words!
I love that there is an app for learning Kernowek, and I will get some use from this... But peculiar choice of vocabulary to say the least. Not sure I would have picked 'mud' or 'river mouth' as my beginning words.
Cornish is a dying language but erm I had fun. One thing is missing. You need a voice thing where they say the word in cornish so you know how to pronounce it.
